New block of online yoga classes starts on Monday, April 25th. We meet at 12 pm over Zoom for an hour.
This next block of 4 classes we will be working on core integration.
What is the core
There is a debate among movement specialist what exactly constitutes our core. Nevertheless, all agree that the core includes the muscles that stabilise and control the pelvis and spine. Some of these are deep muscles that influence our posture, the load on bones and the ease of movement in our entire body.
What to expect from these classes
- Reconnecting with our core
- Releasing some residual tension that we might be holding in the area of the pelvis
- Using breath to sense and feel deep into our body
- Exploring how muscles work together
- Rebalancing so that one side doesn’t dominate the other. (Back and front, left and right).
- Regaining awareness and control of our core
- Strengthening
